Positive: Spiritual insights, understanding beyond the material/physical.
This was one of the first Essences to be prepared. It is an Essence to open people up to their spirituality and to access the doorway to their higher perceptions. It allows the trinity to flow into a person and is an excellent remedy to give someone who has just started meditation or 'conscious' spiritual growth. In the negative mode there will be materialism and/or atheism. There may also be a deep seated fear of death. This Essence helps the spirit move from the Earth to the spiritual planes at the time of death.
This essence was made in Blackheath, Blue Mountains National Park, NSW in a thick mist on a mountaintop. Essences are normally made in the sunlight, but this was a different experience altogether. This was a test of trust for me. Whilst meditating with the essence I was shown gossamer threads reaching down from the ethers into the essence, with droplets running down them. The experience for me ties in with the healing properties of the flower, and I felt the mist added a true element of God/Source. (by Solara Zwaneveld)

The Bush Iris essence can open up the door to a person's higher perception and spirituality allowing the Trinity to flow into the person.
This remedy aids spiritual development and allows entry to another level of awareness. It is excellent when taken before meditating or before embarking upon a course of meditation or any other spiritual or religious practice. It enhances self-awareness and makes creative visualization during meditation much more effective.
It helps clear blocks in the base chakra and in the trust centre (throat chakra) as well as the third eye and crown chakras. If a person is stuck in a materialistic mode, Bush Iris can bring balance to their lives. It is also for those who want to become aware of the spiritual realm.
Bush Iris can foster faith and helps people step forward fearlessly in life, knowing that God is with them, even when a person doesn't believe in the existence of a God.
It is also a very helpful remedy for the dying. The fear of death leads to a grim holding on to life, which in turn leads to much more pain and discomfort. For many people dying is a time of great fear and uncertainty about what will happen. Bush Iris certainly won't kill anyone before their time or before they are ready to go. However, it may make their passing over smoother and more peaceful and will remove much of the anguish and fear often associated with this transition.
In many cases Bush Iris essence can decrease the need for pain-relieving drugs, bringing calmness to those who are suffering pain before death. Many in fact, see relatives or loved ones who have already passed over as if their spirits have come to guide the dying person through the Light. However, the drugs given to the dying, such as painkillers to cancer patients, can block their psychic perception and thus deprive them of these important experiences.
Bush Iris may have an extremely powerful action on the lymphatic system in the body, which help digest fats; boost and support the immune system; and helps to cleanse and detoxify the body. Lymph requires muscular contraction to move it and diets high in fats - especially from dairy products - together with a sedentary lifestyle, are a wonderful recipe for a clogged lymphatic system. Bush Iris can be thought of in treating the following type of symptoms, which all stem from a sluggish lymphatic system: edema; elephantitis; acne, excema and other skin rashes; body odour, and chronic illnesses generally.
Bush Iris helps balance one's body clock, so it is of great assistance to shift workers and to negate the effects of jetlag. It has also been effective in treating seasonal affect disorder (SAD) in such places as Scandinavia and Alaska, during which the lack of exposure to light during the long northern winters on the pineal gland (third eye) slows down one's body clock and in some individuals produces depression over time.
This remedy helps activate and balance the higher chakras.
